Antonio Alonso, Professor of International Relations at the CEU San Pablo University, points out that, personally, there seems to be no good relationship between Trump and Zelenski. In addition, Alonso believes that it is not unreasonable to think that neither of them gets along, which could influence their future decisions. At the institutional level, Alonso says Quetump could consider that Zelensky's “shift” has come to an end. If Trump returns to power, the constant support from the United States to Ukraine could be transformed into a more distant position, which would radically change the dynamics of the conflict.
Dr. Carlos Teissier Professor of the IEB, states that Ukraine faces an extremely difficult situation, since it is unlikely to achieve an agreement that does not imply territorial losses. Although it is not a benefit to the country, what can be expected is a resolution that at least does not pose a total loss. According to him, Ukraine will lose part of his territory, something that is already an imminent fact. The conflict line will never be as before the beginning of the war, so the future of the country will be marked by these new territorial realities.
