The report is based on data collected from more than 34,000 Sprout customers, providing a meaningful set of data on when content was most engaged, broken down by platform and industry.
With this in mind, the Sprout Social report has revealed that there are certain days that tend to generate a large spike in the engagement graphs: specifically, Tuesdays and Wednesdays have been crowned as the best days to post, while on Sundays they take the prize for the worst moment of the week.
And if we talk about the best time intervals or moments, these are the mornings of weekdays, arriving until noon or a little later.
The report notes that weekday mornings are a good time to post to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, while Pinterest and TikTok (These two social networks have been included in this year’s study) they have more interaction in the afternoons.
However, it is necessary to clarify that this information is approximate, since the optimal publication time may vary depending on your audience and the sector of your company, so take the following information and use it according to your objective and your target, since which are a good starting point to create more effective strategies or a change if you are looking to improve your performance.
The best time to post on Facebook
According to Sprout data, it has been determined that Facebook continues to be the most used social network by marketers around the world, with 90% usage.
In this sense, it has been appreciated that, in general, the best days and times to publish on Facebook are from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm, while the worst day to share content is Saturday, as you can see in the following graph:
Compared to previous years, there was a increase in Facebook completely inactive times. Weekends and early morning have shown to maintain, as in the previous year, a more constant engagement, becoming much more opportune moments for brands to reach users.

Like Pinterest, the best times to post on TikTok are in the afternoon: Tuesday from 2 pm to 6 pm; Wednesdays from 2 pm to 5 pm; and Thursdays from 3 pm to 5 pm, highlighting Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Meanwhile, Sunday is the worst day to post.
Despite being one of the youngest social networks, it has achieved an impressive level of growth and engagement, with an audience that spends almost 20 hours a day on it, especially in the afternoon. However, the study highlights that in general terms, it is observed that Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm, there is a greater participation within the platform.
