SIL Barcelona 2023: the international logistics fair organizes its next edition from June 7 to 9
He SIL 2023the international fair of logistics, transport, intralogistics and supply chain will take place in Barcelona, Spain, June 7-9, right in the middle of its 25th anniversary. The event is focused on studying success models to use these experiences and help boost business, networking and knowledge of other projects in the area.
The event will serve as a meeting point where all sectors of the logistics chain will be able to learn more about topics such as big data, artificial intelligence or blockchain; topics that are gaining influence and relevance in the environment of logistics process improvements. In addition, it will address how the arrival of industry 4.0, the sector is at a boom, which in turn affects areas such as real estate, mobility or sustainability.

“The celebration of the 25th anniversary coincides with a moment of transformation of the sector, with the implementation of technological advances that have contributed to greater efficiency and traceability of logistics, always focusing more and more on sustainability, and which will allow new job opportunities to emerge with new generation profiles. This, together with the rest of the congresses and meetings that will be held during the fair, will provide a unique environment in the world to create synergies between professionals. We can talk about the most important Spanish-speaking event in the world and the benchmark for the sector in Spain, southern Europe, the Mediterranean and Latin America,” he says. Thanks to the section SIL Knowledge, there will be 400 speakers who will participate in several sessions divided into 6 thematic blocks. In total there will be 80 hours of content divided into 144 sessions, which will take place in open spaces within the fairgrounds. Among the topics to be discussed by the speakers are the supply chain, innovation, technology and digitization, sustainability, logistics and transport, eCommerce, last mile and smart mobility.
In addition, on June 9 there will be a place of meeting between companies with job offers and candidates. This gives people interested in the sector the opportunity to find a job opportunity in companies such as Alquimia, Fruits, Cargobici, Cargo-Partner, Decathlon, DHL, Grupo CTC, Mail Boxes SA, Torrella Engineering – Architecture and Vanapedal.
There will be more than 150 novelties presented by the participating companies, including artificial intelligence for the optimization of distribution routes, an app to promote the use of electric vehicles in the last mile, a collaborative robot for large-volume orders in warehouses, a cloud for exchange of warehouse spaces between companies, a real-time information platform on port congestion, a collaborative platform for air cargo management and a platform with emission meters.
